Lect. Univ. Dr. Eng. Loredana-Cristina DUMITRIU (DASCĂLU) was born in 1987 in Prahova, in Ploieşti, Romania.
With a chosen education received from her parents, simple people with well-defined values, Loredana is a young woman with spiritual values, such as: sincerity, honesty, dignity, seriousness, common sense, good manners, respect, love.
In 2006, Loredana moved to Bucharest to begin a new stage in her life, as a student.
In 2010 she graduated from the Faculty of Engineering and Management of Technological Systems (former TCM), from the Polytechnic University of Bucharest, being licensed in the field of Engineering and Management, under the title of Engineer, with an average of 10.
With an extreme ambition and a burning desire to learn, Loredana graduated, in 2011, from the second faculty, namely, the Faculty of Journalism and Communication Sciences, within the University of Bucharest; becoming a journalist.
For 4 years, she is pursuing a Postgraduate Course in Pedagogy (Level I and Level II) in parallel with the faculty, carried out within the Department for Teacher Training – Polytechnic University of Bucharest. The course was completed in June 2011 with a Certificate of Graduation as a Teacher with the right to teach in all forms of education: preschool, middle school, high school, post-high school, university, with an average of 10.
Also, in May 2011, she completed her studies at the second Postgraduate Course – Management of tourist activities and guide technique, within the Department for Teacher Training and Socio-Human Sciences – Polytechnic University of Bucharest. The course ended with an average of 10 and a graduation diploma that gives her the right to carry out activities in the field of tourism.
She continues her studies at the Faculty of Engineering and Management of Technological Systems (IMST), from the Polytechnic University of Bucharest, following the Master’s Degree in Occupational Safety and Health Engineering and obtained in 2012 the Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, with an average of 10.
During her years of study, she participated in certain olympics, obtained scholarships in all her years of study, a multitude of diplomas and awards in the Student Scientific Communication Sessions, Certificate of English Language and Literature, Management Communication and Image Consulting, etc.
Loredana’s studies do not stop here. In 2012 she followed her Doctoral Studies (performance scholarship – 3 years), the Doctoral School of Engineering and Management of Technological Systems – Polytechnic University of Bucharest.
Thesis title: “Research on the influence of organizational stress level on economic efficiency in integrated management systems.” Study conducted in Romania, France and South America.
In parallel with her doctoral studies, she follows the second Master’s program (scholarship) – Analysis, Modeling and Simulation Techniques for Imaging, Bioinformatics and Complex Systems at the Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Information Technology – Polytechnic University of Bucharest.
Thesis title: “Analysis of automatic and semi-automatic methods for stress detection.” Study conducted in France (Paris) with a research grant at TELECOM SudParis for a period of 6 months.
In 2014 she received her Master’s degree for the second time, but this time in the field of Computers and Information Technology.
In May 2014 at the Palace of the Parliament in Bucharest she was awarded the Trophy for winning: THE AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE IN EDUCATION – THE AWARD FOR THE BEST STUDENT IN ENGINEERING.
In September 2015, she publicly sustained her Doctoral Thesis and was offered the title of Doctor in Engineering Sciences, the field of Industrial Engineering, maximum qualification.
The economic / statistical part of the Doctoral Thesis was done in Latin America, in Lima, the capital of the famous Peru, where one of the 7 Wonders of the World can be admired, namely Machu Picchu!
Loredana did her internship (4 months) at the Peru-Romania Chamber of Commerce and at the Romanian Embassy in Peru in the beautiful Miraflores district, Lima, Peru.
As you can see, Loredana combined her studies and her passion for traveling. Everyone who gets to know her says, “Loredana’s life is a continuous holiday always with new adventures”!

- Volunteer Professor Lb. English and Computer Science – BEMELSA Children’s Organization, Peru, South America.
- Coordinator (founder of the LSRS Peru branch) – League of Romanian Students Abroad, South America.
Representing Romania with incredible success on another continent, the results were appreciated, and at the end of the internship the President of the Peru-Romania Chamber of Commerce proposed his association in her company founded in Bucharest to support training in Stress Management at work and to carry out import-export activities in Peru-Romania.
Thus, as a concretization for the practical application related to the research in the doctoral thesis. In March 2015 Loredana (at only 27 years old) becomes General Manager – S.C. STRESS CONSULTING BUSINESS SRL, Bucharest.
By profession, Doctor Engineer, University Teacher, Auditor / Inspector SSM (book published in the field, 2020) and Journalist, Loredana-Cristina Dumitriu (Dascălu), combines these specializations, through journalistic activity.
Between 2007-2009, she was the Coordinating Editor of the info@poli newspaper, promoted since 2009 with the position of Editor-in-Chief.
Her thoughts, which outline the form of an article, can be found on various social networking sites and she collaborates with Ziarul ORIZONT, a publication of the Topoloveni Zonal Consortium, ATITUDINI Magazine from Ploiești, where her articles are published.
Loredana holds an International Press Card (International Federation of Journalists -IFJ) offered by the Romanian Federation of Journalists – MEDIASIND.
In 2011 she became an author / writer publishing her own book.

Thus, Loredana received invitations from the media and participated in television and radio shows and was interviewed in both the Romanian and foreign print media.
As a child, she participated in various shows. Incurably in love with music, she attends private lessons in vocal singing and piano at the Children’s Palace in Ploiești and at the Romanian Athenaeum in Bucharest.
Loredana is a travel lover (at the age of 25 she had already seen many places around the world) and lived for several years in countries such as Spain (Madrid), France (Paris), United Kindom (London), Peru (Lima). In addition to her professional projects, she also dedicated her time to children from foreign lands (in private kindergartens and orphanages), being a great lover of kids.
In February 2016 she moved to London, UK to study the Understanding Research Methods course at the University of London.
In parallel with her academic research, out of love for the little ones, she collaborated with a Private Kindergarten in Canary Wharf, London for 6 months.
In order to gain experience in the London financial-banking field, she collaborated for 6 months (until February 2017) with a Bank of London – OAKAM FINANCE LTD, London, UK as Customer Relationship Manager (risk management).
On her return from abroad, she worked in the financial field (Spanish – English) within a renowned multinational in Bucharest.
Where she once was a student, she is now a teacher!
Also, Loredana, holds the position of University Lecturer at the Faculty of Industrial and Robotics Engineering (former IMST) – Polytechnic University of Bucharest where she managed the performance (in 2017) of teaching Master’s degree in higher education, to students from second year, with the Specialization in Occupational Safety and Health Engineering, her own Course “Stress Management” with the related project, plus other specialized subjects.
Loredana focuses on personal development, holding trainings on various topics, being a host and presenter at various remarkable events, invited to various conferences, flirting with online advertising and running various businesses (marketing consulting, travel, OSH, business plans and languages).

Loredana continues her academic activity with a Postdoctoral Fellowship, being admitted in 2019 with a scholarship to the POSTDOCTORAL Program (POCU, Be-Entrepreneur) of advanced research in Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Industrial Engineering and Robotics, Polytechnic University of Bucharest – project title “Research advanced on the founding of an Organizational Stress Research Laboratory” and finalizing with award in 2021.
Those around her characterize her as “a child, with a big soul, a smart child, with far too much common sense, a child who knows how to be noticed and respected, a child who has honestly won everyone’s praise and admirations”!
Although she has an impressive track record of academic achievement, Loredana has made time to travel around the world for the past 8 years.
Until the age of 33, she saw more than 35 countries, more than 120 cities abroad and lived in several countries abroad.
This blog @travelwithmelore was “born” because Loredana LOVES traveling and wants to share her adventures with everyone.
